Cadogan Gallery is delighted to announce “Res,” a new exhibition by Enrich R. This will be the artist’s first solo exhibition with Cadogan, opening in December in London.

In this strong new body of work, Enrich R explores the realms of new abstraction. Abandoning any attempt at explanation, the artist surpasses the limitations of description in his search for a hidden energy within the painting itself. Even devoid of a full explanation or understanding, the works evoke an inner truth inexplicable through language alone.

It is this sense of mystery, something that cannot be fully unveiled, that becomes the material from which images are constructed. Within indefiniteness, there is always something new; the work avoids formalism and instead explores the internal logic of things.

The notion of expressing the inner world through outward form has deeply established roots in artistic practice. Drawing on poetic imagery and intuitions that reach beyond metaphor (a principle shaped, and is shaped by creators such as Brancusi, Flavin, and Long), Enrich R distills simplicity as his works unfold into a rigorously evolving artistic language.

Throughout “Res”, this concept embodies Enrich R’s artistic journey: always seeking the personal expression of the lived landscape. His works embrace simplicity, transience and imperfection as asymmetric forms gain mysterious tension on the canvas. Backgrounds of evaporated colour, blurred pathways, and organic shapes that lose their trace suggest imprints moving toward the void.

Just like his water stains drying on the wall in the sun, each painting follows its own journey; each idea becomes a gesture of logical beauty. Canvas by canvas, Enrich R. builds a visual “code,” creating suspended spaces and strokes lost in the immensity of time.
