Announcing: Cadogan Milan

Press Release, November 16, 2022

Cadogan Gallery is delighted to announce the opening of a new gallery space in Milan, in the Spring of 2023.  The new venue will display works by artists who have developed alongside the gallery, as well as a new roster of established and emerging international artists. The opening exhibition will feature British artist Sam Lock with a new body of work created specially for the new space and will open on 1st March 2023.

Established in London in 1980, Cadogan Gallery has supported the work of emerging, mid-career and established artists for four decades and placed emphasis on maintaining the close ties it has had with different generations of collectors and artists for over four decades. Alongside the first gallery in South Kensington, London, and a space for site specific exhibitions in Hampshire, Cadogan is now adding an international perspective to its exhibition programme by opening its first foreign venue in Milan.

"Designed and purpose-built to host an extensive schedule of exhibitions, the space will showcase works by artists who have grown alongside us ever since the gallery first opened. It will also present well-established artists and up-and-coming talents new to Cadogan. With its light-filled courtyard, distinctive Milanese architectural features and modern aesthetics, this new space will allow us to display works in the same spirit as the London venue, albeit in a different and ambitious way. After many years of hard work, we are excited to take this new step forward: we chose Milan because we think it is currently one of the most important places in the international art world, full of potential for the future".
