WE ARE MOVING

CADOGAN GALLERY TO LAUNCH NEW FLAGSHIP SPACE IN BELGRAVIA, LONDON, 3 OCTOBER 2024
Over four decades since we opened our very first gallery in 1980, Cadogan Gallery is delighted to announce the opening of our new flagship gallery space in Belgravia, London.

The new London space and our recently inaugurated Milan gallery is the progression of years of work, but also signals an ambitious future as the gallery grows in synergy alongside our artists, amplifying in scale and scope. This new chapter marks a significant milestone in our shared journey, and we are delighted to be advancing the future of the gallery together, continuing to foster and celebrate the creative excellence that defines us.

The gallery's space, located at 7-9 Harriet Street (on the corner of Harriet Walk and Harriet Street), will be designed by Studio Jake Lai following a total renovation.  The gallery will occupy over 400 square metres over two floors, with the main exhibition space complemented by a further gallery space downstairs, allowing for simultaneous programming.

The inauguration will be marked by a group exhibition in October, championing the artists who have shaped the gallery’s program since its founding, alongside a new generation of artists.
Coinciding with Frieze London, the inaugural exhibition will present, "Cadogan Gallery, A Group Exhibition," with new works by Elise Ansel, Kim Bartelt, Lawrence Calver, Lorenzo Brinati, Gabriele Cappelli, Edoardo Dionea Cicconi, Andreas Diaz Andersson, Ramón Enrich, Richard Hearns, Terrell James, Mimi Jung, Tycjan Knut, Laurence Leenaert, Sam Lock, Nuria Maria, Theo Pinto, Emanuel Seitz, Deborah Tarr, Leonardo Anker Vandal, Maximilian Verhas and Richard Zinon (3 October 2024 - 8 February 2025).

Unified by the artist-centred ethos and distinctive aesthetic, this group exhibition epitomises our growth, marking a poignant moment to showcase the evolution of artists since the gallery's founding, alongside a new generation of artists.

"Our new flagship space embodies our commitment to our artists, to provide an innovative platform to showcase their work. The enhanced capabilities of this space allow us to push the boundaries of artistic presentation and engagement. It is paramount for the gallery to evolve in harmony with the artists we represent, reflecting and amplifying their energy and creative output.
Moreover, we are immensely proud of the artists who have flourished with us throughout the years. This new chapter marks a significant milestone in our shared journey, and I am delighted that we are advancing the future of the gallery together, continuing to foster and celebrate the creative excellence that defines us."
 - Freddie Burness, Managing Director

"Christopher Burness, the founder of our gallery, grew up in the heart of the community, in Cadogan Square. Cadogan Gallery is intrinsically linked to this heritage, forming an essential part of its identity. London is a city that thrives on its rich artistic history and its ever-evolving contemporary scene. Being part of this community is incredibly inspiring and we look forward to moving into a new space that builds on our long-established roots, as well as evolving within the vibrant cultural scenes of Belgravia and Knightsbridge."
