• Cadogan Gallery is delighted to announce Richard Hearns' new solo exhibition 'No Ruined Stones', opening 3 September in London. In this new body of work, Hearns dives deep into the interplay between landscape, geologic time, the art of prehistory and human consciousness. Through these paintings, the artist explores the significance of human time, such a fleeting moment, amongst the vastness of geological and cosmic time.

I've been on a narrative ascent!

Now past the threshold I'm confronting a monolith.

    It is something I recognise.

It goes way beyond the object itself - it's moving - penetrating beyond space, time and causality.

Thats what painting can become - this completely transportive vessel.

And where do I go from here.

    Always moving

    It's still entirely a mystery.

    -Richard Hearns
