Echlin unveils contemporary minimalist home design in London
The property is located near Kensington Gardens and evokes classic British design
The private residence in Knightsbridge London has been created as a usable, flexible space with an abundance of natural light. Drawing inspiration from the classic London mews house and its proximity to Hyde Park, the designers wanted to create a natural tranquil space.
Across three storeys with 2,400 sq ft of internal space, the design includes a statement helical staircase, generous amounts of glass and a 6m high living wall down one side of the property. This maximises the brightness of the property by bringing the natural sunlight inside.
In keeping with the classic British property, the style focuses on the use of bespoke British pieces, antiques and vintage accessories. Fabrics with warm autumnal tones of coppers, bronzes, greens and golds have been curated for this home as well as a selection of artwork from the Cadogan Contemporary gallery in London’s South Kensington.
